  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
cinnamon sugar chips
  • 6 flour tortillas large
  • 2 tbsp melted butter for chips
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar mixed with cinnamon ¼ cup granulated sugar mixed with 1 teaspoon cinnamon, for chips

Equipment

  • 1 sheet pan
  • 1 cast iron skillet

Method

Make and bake the cinnamon sugar chips
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Brush the tortillas with melted butter, sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture, and cut into wedges.
  2. Arrange the wedges on a baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes, until crisp and golden. Keep them warm until ready to serve.
Cook the spiced apple filling
  1. Cook the diced apples with brown sugar and ground cinnamon in a skillet over medium heat for 5–6 minutes, until softened. Let the apple mixture cool slightly.
Mix the creamy pie dip and assemble
  1. Beat the cream cheese, unsalted butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and fluffy.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixture into a shallow dish and top with the apple mixture. Serve immediately with the warm cinnamon sugar chips.

Notes

For the smoothest dip, soften the cream cheese and butter fully before mixing. Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days; freeze not recommended for best texture. For a lighter option, use low-fat cream cheese while keeping the same apple and chip flavors.
